Read moreSo you have diabetes, or a family member was diagnosed with diabetes; having diabetes is nothing to be ashamed of. Diabetes is becoming a worldwide epidemic, in Canada there are three million people with diabetes, and maybe same number of people have diabetes and don’t know.
Many people view diabetes as major setback; however it could be a turning point in our lives and we have the choice to decide the path we will take with it. Let it be a wake-up call to a healthier, energetic life. A life embracing balance, wise food choices and plenty of physical activity is a life well lived.
You don’t have to face diabetes alone, let’s share our experiences, learn from each other, and promote diabetes prevention and management in our community. The North Shore Diabetes Support Group is a virtual group, currently we don't have regular meetings at present.
